Here you will find a magnificent natural scenery, which goes to the smooth beaches of San Benedetto del Tronto and Grottammare, to the green, sweet hills which are framed by the Sibillini Mounts; a place where every hill has its history, to tell and to let you live it! The Riviera delle Palme has a typical Mediterranean scrub rich in holm oaks, bay trees, maritime pines, Aleppo pines and oaks, plane trees, elms, mulberrys which follow one another along the streets that go towards the centuries-old villages where the time seems to be stopped: Acquaviva Picena, Monteprandone, Ripatransone, Offida... all with its history and a beautiful view on the Adriatic Sea. San Benedetto del Tronto has the most majestic promenade in Italy, with its 30m width.
In 1600, this were a little town of fishermen and had about 600 inhabitants. Only the bravery and courage of these men made San Benedetto del Tronto one of the most important harbours in Italy and one of the most flourishing national fish market. Nowadays fish is a cornerstone in the city, which lives thanks to marine activities. Really appreciated even on the culinary side, who comes in the Riviera delle Palme must taste the famous “brodetto”, a typical fish dish. San Benedetto is rich in amenities and venues not only in the center but also along the Riviera and on the hills which framed this stretch of Coast. San Benedetto del Tronto and the Riviera delle Palme: two places to discover, able to cause deep emotions and unforgettable memories.
Close to the Riviera delle Palme, moving towards the hinterland, one can reach Ascoli Piceno, among the most beautiful cities in Italy. Its majestic city center, almost all made in travertine stone, is typical thanks to its towers, and hosts one of the most beautiful squares in Italy, Piazza del Popolo. Caffè Meletti, the Church of San Francesco.
Another important square is Piazza Arringo. Ascoli Piceno is also a city so linked to ist traditions and folklore: just think about the Quintana historical tournament. There are so many places to be visited in the hiterland in the Piceno. They have a lot of traditions and events that make lively the territory all year long. Among them there is Monteprandone: a small village, whose history is marked by the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, halfway between Monteprandone and Centobuchi. The monastery preserves a precious collection of old books, collected since 1400, thanks to San Giacomo della Marca:

most of the books are still available beacuse they were hided in the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. There are 60 handwritten books that includes sermons, prayers, compendiums, letters and some texts by great authors such as Cicero, Seneca and Saint Augustine. Monteprandone preserves a little historical treasure, surrounded by an amazing panorama that overlooks both the hills and the sea.
The main feature of Acquaviva Picena is its majestic fortress that overlooks the Valle del Tronto. The Fortress of the Acquaviva is one of the best preserved in the Marche. It hosts an exhibition of ancient weapon and different events all year long, such as "Sponsalia" a reenactment of the nuptial banquet of Forasteria, daughter of Rinaldo

A lot are the villages that make reenactments. One of these is Castignano. Close to San Benedetto del Tronto, is a small village on a rock. Another important festival is Templaria, that is held in August in the city center, during which one can assist to theatrical shows, concerts, conferences, banquets,
